Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

Slimlytics is operated by RedSeam (Dustin Davis). These terms govern your use of the hosted Slimlytics service at slimlytics.com, including the dashboard, API, MCP server, CLI, and browser tracker. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use Slimlytics on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. Self-hosted copies of Slimlytics are governed by the open-source license in the repository, not by these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials, API tokens, and site write keys secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at dustin@redseam.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use the service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Track sites you do not own or are not authorized to measure.
• Send personal data such as names, email addresses, or form values through URLs or custom events, or otherwise use the service to identify individual visitors.
• Use the service in violation of applicable privacy, consumer protection, or other laws.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts, or send fabricated or abusive traffic to the collection endpoint.
• Resell or sublicense access to the hosted service without written permission.

You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consent your visitors are entitled to under the laws that apply to your sites.

4. Your data

You own the analytics data collected for your sites and any content you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service for you. We do not sell your data or use it to build advertising profiles. You can export or delete site data at any time from the dashboard. How we handle data is described further on our Privacy page.

5. Google Search Console integration

You may optionally connect a Google account to show Google Search Console data alongside your analytics. When you connect, Slimlytics requests read-only access using the webmasters.readonly scope. We use this access only to retrieve and display search performance data for properties you own or have access to, within your own Slimlytics account. We never modify your Search Console settings, and we do not use this data for advertising, sell it, or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the feature or comply with law.

You can disconnect Google at any time from your Slimlytics settings or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Slimlytics' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Plans and billing

The hosted service offers a free plan and paid plans described on the Pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law. Daily page view allowances are soft limits: collection continues if you exceed them, and we may ask you to upgrade. We may change prices with at least 30 days notice before your next renewal.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, put the service or other users at risk, or remain unpaid. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to export your data before deletion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Analytics figures are estimates and can be affected by ad blockers, consent choices, bots, and network conditions. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RedSeam and Dustin Davis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify account owners by email or in the dashboard before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
